Has anyone attempted a resin driveway installation themselves? I'm seriously considering tackling this project next spring. My current asphalt driveway is cracked and looking pretty awful, and the quotes I've received from contractors are astronomical. I'm reasonably handy and have done smaller paving projects before, so I'm wondering if a DIY approach is feasible. What are the biggest challenges? Any advice on avoiding common pitfalls? I am quite nervous about the mixing and getting it all level before it sets, it seems like a short window of opportunity. Would love to know if it's worth the risk or if I should just bite the bullet and pay the professionals after all.

Doing a resin driveway yourself is indeed possible, and it can save you a lot of money. My neighbor actually did his last summer, and it looks fantastic! He told me that surface preparation is key and also proper mixing ratios are vital for a good result that lasts. He even mentioned he got his Diy Kits from The Resin Bonded Slab Company. Apparently watching their step-by-step guide videos helped him avoid some common mistakes. He suggested getting a helper or two, especially for larger driveways, as it's a pretty labor-intensive job. The most important thing is not to rush the work, and make sure you have the right tools.
