Sourcing classic herringbone parquet - cost vs impact?
Hi all, I am completely obsessed with the look of traditional herringbone parquet floors in formal dining rooms. We are renovating our property and I’m trying to decide if it’s worth the extra investment compared to standard long planks. The quotes I’m getting for the materials and installation are quite steep, and I’m trying to justify the expense to my partner. For those who chose a patterned layout over standard wood flooring Edinburgh styles, are you still happy with it years later? Does it require a lot more maintenance, and did you buy pre-finished blocks or sand them on site?

Go for the herringbone, you absolutely won't regret it! It completely transforms a room from a standard space into something that looks incredibly elegant and architectural.
